Am so pumped to see the millions turning out for Women’s March on Washington rallies not only in our nation’s capital, but throughout the nation and around the world. They put the Trump administration on notice that there will be a strong opposition to his agenda to steal from the poor and middle-class to give to the rich; to create a religious litmus test for those wanting to immigrate to the US; to rubber stamp whatever the Kremlin tells him to do; to weaken environmental protections and reduce funding for public education and other programs that have made this country what it is.
All of us who care about America and its future must become as energized as the millions of protestors. For those who aren’t registered to vote, get registered. Become politically and socially active, not only by voting for progressive candidates, but also voicing your concerns about the Trump agenda to your elected officials. Also financially support organizations that champion social justice, women’s issues, children’s rights, environmental protection and progressive international diplomacy. Too much hangs in the balance for us to be the Silent Majority.
